Falcon & Wagen is a Florence, Texas-based design studio founded by designers Falza Khanani and Malik Wagenseil. With a focus on creating products that hold meaningful value and convey personal stories, the studio collaborates with local manufacturing partners and artisans in North Carolina. Their debut product, Heirloom, is a 100% North Carolina-made blanket that reimagines the traditional herringbone weave with unique color combinations and a multi-colored fringe.
Driven by the belief that design should not only be aesthetically pleasing but also narrate a compelling story, Falcon & Wagen aims to highlight North Carolina Textile Manufacturing through their creations. Both Falza and Malik, graduates of the Rhode Island School of Design, bring their expertise in color material design and textile design to the studio’s innovative approach. By incorporating the functional edge of the textile, the selvedge, into their designs, Falcon & Wagen infuses each product with a touch of heritage and craftsmanship.
