Firehouse Architecture LAB, PLLC is a boutique woman-owned contemporary architecture firm based in Ithaca, New York. Founded in 2014, the firm specializes in residential and small commercial projects in the Ithaca / Finger Lakes region, offering services that include ground-up designs, renovations, and advisory work. Inspired by its physical location in a renovated historic firehouse, Firehouse Architecture LAB is known for its passion for integrating unique and modern design aesthetics and materials.
The team at Firehouse Architecture LAB is led by Emily Petrina, a licensed architect with a background in high-end residential and institutional work. Emily’s educational background includes a Bachelor’s of Architecture from Cornell University and a Master’s of Architecture from Parsons, The New School for Design. She is also a LEED-accredited professional and actively involved in the City of Ithaca Planning and Development Board as well as the Downtown Ithaca Alliance. Alongside Emily is Jonah Lunden, who brings expertise in construction ecology and set-based design to create thoughtful living spaces for clients.
Collaborating with Firehouse Architecture LAB is Eagleson Engineering, PLLC, led by Craig Eagleson, a licensed professional engineer with extensive experience in structural design. Craig’s background includes work at Cornell University and JR Clancy, where he designed overhead hoisting systems and building interface frames for the entertainment industry. With a focus on innovation and award-winning projects in historic preservation and adaptive reuse, Firehouse Architecture LAB continues to make a mark in the architectural landscape of the region.
