A homework assignment in Home Economics in 11th grade set me on a path to a career in interior design. The teacher gave us some graph paper and asked us to design our dream home. I totally emerged myself into imagining this home from the inside out and discovered a passion inside me to create spaces. I attended the International Academy of Merchandising and Design in Tampa, Florida, and learned about designing functional and aesthetic spaces.
My first job upon graduating was designing custom kitchens for a millwork company in St. Petersburg, Florida. I LOVED it! From there I went to work with three amazing designers and learned the art of “feathering the nest”. In 2006 I took the plunge to become a self-employed interior designer and I’ve never looked back. Along the way, I completed a Masters’s in Business Administration to build a strong foundation for building a successful company and managing large projects. I have worked in Florida, Missouri, Alabama, Georgia, and Oklahoma on residential, multi-family, commercial, and healthcare projects. I enjoy working with clients and walking them through the process of designing a space. Whether it is a total renovation, a custom home build, or taking an empty space and filling it with furniture, artwork, and accessories; the entire process is exciting.
